# Check your website with an agent

Use a browser connector to test a real visitor journey and record failures with evidence.

## 1. Choose one visitor journey

Test a concrete path: open the landing page, choose a guide, switch language and follow the CTA. Write down what the visitor should see. Start locally or on staging. A page loading successfully does not prove its buttons, forms or mobile layout work.

Write four numbered steps and the expected result for each.

## 2. Limit browser access

Chrome DevTools MCP appeared in the radar and exposes browser tools to coding agents. A connector can reveal browser data to the model. Use a separate test profile without personal sessions. Review source, installation and telemetry settings under your policy before using a new connector.

Connect only the test browser and record allowed pages and actions.

## 3. Have the agent actually click

Ask the agent to execute the route and record what happened at each step. Use available browser tools for snapshots, screenshots and console or network errors. Name untested behavior. A screenshot shows appearance; pair it with the action and URL to support a behavioral claim.

Run the same journey on desktop and mobile with test data. Do not submit a real enquiry.

## 4. Save a reproducible failure

A useful bug report includes the URL, viewport, steps, expected behavior and observed behavior. Add relevant evidence. Do not let the agent state a cause as fact when it only observed a symptom. A reproducible failure is a better repair starting point than “the website is broken”.

Create one report per issue and connect it to a specific step.

## 5. Repeat the failed step

After a change, rerun the original steps and compare with the acceptance criterion. Check the adjacent steps if the change could affect them. Save the retest with the report. Mark a flow passed only when the expected behavior is observed.

Done when you can reproduce, fix and demonstrably retest a failure using the same steps.

## Starter template

Test this allowed staging URL using the separate test profile. Follow my four steps on desktop and mobile. Record expected and observed behavior, URL and viewport. Save relevant screenshots and console errors. Use test data only, send nothing and make no purchases. Mark untested behavior and create a reproducible report for each failure.
